Easter Eggs: 2018 - 2020

During the painting season, I create a small number of one-of-a-kind models. Most of these are testers for a particular colour or technique. Every so often one of these special, one of a kind models can be found hidden somewhere around our corner of the internet; the first one to find it may buy it. Like our other Magpies, an Easter Egg model is numbered and comes with a certificate of registration.

I was originally going to name the models after different dying techniques, but that quickly evolved into types of fabric.

#18A6201 "Batik" was our first Easter Egg in 2018. She is a flaxen chestnut dominant white on our Arabian mold. She was hidden in our original eStore in June 2018.

#19A6201 "Velour" is a black dun blanket appaloosa on our Arabian mold. She was a technique test for Personalities Collection Twelve #19A0100 "Yossarian". She was hidden in our original eStore in August 2019 and was found after about a week.

#19A6401 "Cashmere" is a perlino on our Arabian mold. She was a colour test for Valentine Special #20W6100 "Language of Flowers". She was hidden in our original eStore in November 2019.

#20H6101 "Brocade" is a bright bay tobiano with mapped spots on our Hunter mold. He was a general colour and technique test. A similar colour mix was used for Personalities Collection Thirteen #20H0100 "Illusion of Love". He was posted in the forum January 2020 and was found after a couple of hours.

#20A6101 "Watered Silk" was our first attempt at dappling and a colour test for a nice orangy chestnut.  She inspired the Personalities Collection Thirteen #20A0100 "Galatea". Silk was posted to our forum in October 2020 and was found after a couple of hours.

Easter Egg #20W6201 "Rakematiz" is our Welsh Pony in a very light, Haflingery flaxen chestnut. She was posted to the forum in December 2020 and was found in less than an hour.
